Expedicion Serengeti wasn't the only thing happening at camp this year!

Here are some images of our week.  I wish I could put everything!!!  But there is not enough room!  Water balloon fights, basketball and ping pong tournaments, times of praise and worship, rooms vibrating to the tune of snorers!  But for now...here is just a glimpse...

Keith found a few of these huge balls here...

They were quite a hit with the kids and with the adults.  They even survived the week!  We were afraid that they would pop since they are just blown up like beach balls.  But we had some interesting times with them.

The competition between the gymcana teams was fierce!

Larry Thornburg, one of our missionary colleagues, can not make up his mind if his team color is orange or yellow!  It sure helped to have a closet full of craft supplies when we needed to carry all we could that was red!  Unfortunately, our team lost in the long run.

The water wars started early this year...

And no one, no one, was safe.  Next time we hide the water balloons and buckets until Thursday!  But in the heat, it sure felt good.  The grass needed the water.  The drought continues.  The river is very low and the lake nearby had dry docks and boats sitting on the bottom, listing to one side.

Whose face do we believe?

Candace says...I like croquettas, but don't give me any of those tomatos and olives!  Cody says...Not another picture.  Levi says...Is is bedtime yet?  The food was good...but Spanish.  We ate breakfast at 9:30 (cereal or bread), lunch at 2 PM, merienda at 6 PM (sandwiches or something a little sweet), and supper at 9 PM.  It always feels like we go from eating to eating.

Tammy's turn to help!

Our teammate, Tammy Clodgo, was able to lead a class in scrapbooking every afternoon.  We had a good time and learned a lot of valuable lessons.  Between the two of us, we have quite a few tools and hope to be able to offer classes here in our ministry.  Although Spaniards are not real familiar with scrapbooking, once they got a taste of it they were good to go.

There was time for just some relaxing...

And we took advantage of it when we could.  Here Keith was talking with Cesar and Miguel, two of the guys from our church.

Our favorite times are when we are able to just sit...

and reflect on how good God has been to us.  What a good God to give us such a great family and allow us to serve Him together.
